Rosehip Birth Stories

We believe that pregnancy and birth are both sacred and ordinary. The midwifery model of care is centered on trusting birth as a normal and healthy process. Check out some of our wonderful recent birth stories and see how wonderful a home birth can be and what it's really all about.

Our Services

Rosehip Midwifery provides comprehensive care for the entire childbearing year and beyond. From preconception counseling, care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, to well-woman/pap smear appointments --your wellness is important to us at every stage.

Insurance and Payments

Welcoming a new member to your family doesn't have to break the bank. We accept some insurance plans, including Oregon Health Plan. We offer a graduated payment plan and are happy to work with your individual situation. Please feel free to contact us to discuss options!

Anti-racism Statement

We acknowledge that racism and white supremacy are deeply rooted parts of our culture. We know that systemic inequity due to racism results in poorer pregnancy and birth outcomes for BIPOC (Black, Indigeiouns People of Color). These include higher rates of preterm birth, low birthweight and deaths of birthing people and babies. We have a responsibility to all birthing people, babies, children and families to actively participate in the lifelong, ongoing work of anti-racism.
We are committed to facing our own participation in white supremacy and to actively work towards dismantling the systems of oppression of BIPOC on which our country is founded.
  • We begin our work internally. We are reading books, engaging in conversations, and doing a lot of listening. We are focused on the following actions and invite you to join us in this essential work:
  • Listening to and elevating the voices of BIPOC.
  • Diversifying our media – Intentionally looking for and paying close attention to diverse voices of color on social media, television, movies, new sources and print media including fiction and non-fiction books.
  • Contributing money to organizations by and for BIPOC and supporting BIPOC owned businesses.
  • Talking to our kids about racism and white supremacy – There are a number of excellent children’s books about racism. This list from Powells.com is a great place to start https://www.powells.com/featured/antiracism-kids.
