Sustainable Lifestyle & The Importance of Self-Care

After a busy month (6 babies in 4½ weeks!), the Rosehip Midwives have been soaking up some well-deserved time off call. Step one? We thought we would enjoy getting a group pedicure and enjoying some time to chat with coffees in hand. Step two? All three of us took a special vacation that really helps to counter balance the busy lifestyle midwifery can sometimes become. Step three? Check in with friends, family and clients alike on what you do for self-care!

Do Things For Yourself

In this fast-paced and demanding lifestyle we often find it hard to do necessary things for ourselves. Especially those of us that wear so many hats: mother, father, midwife, student, career professional, etc. But how do we pour from an empty cup? We are so much better able to give from our heart when we are well resourced. So it is with this that the midwives at Rosehip ask you, what do you do for self-care? We encourage you to find time this week to do ONE thing for yourself, even if it is just for five minutes! Take ideas from the list below or do something special that you already know feeds you.
